May 5th, 2012 Meeting Minutes

Notes:
- Relationships large group
o Not everything was new but nice to hear
o Relate to similar experiences
o Fun, learned some stuff
o Concern we were pushing relationships, thus email was sent
- Next week is Yan Choi
o Talked last midterms weekend
 Will be talking on midterms again
 Sam feels bad
- Then two weeks of talking about spiritual warfare
o Sam
o Then Peter and Jonathon
- Sora from LBC wants to come to talk about Veritas and recruit more people to help
- Retreat
o Robb thought it went well
o Talk Skippy gave was the best part about history of CCF
 Afraid it may have taken joy of rag retreat from him
- Richard submitted retreat fund reimbursement already. Yay him
o Robb paid for retreat and gave Richard Parker’s money
o Richard paid for retreat
o Some people still have to pay – four people
- Would be really nice to have more current CCFers
o This retreat was pretty much this council and next year’s council
o Need to emphasize importance of retreat
o Also talk about it earlier in the term
- Andy has to walk 5 more hours a term because The Jorgenson walkway is closed
- Robb will talk to people about Big Interhouse next year to find the date and will talk to Camp Oakes
- Tim should come up with ideas for summer – we will discuss when he is here
- FBMs
o Sam has found mentors
 Went to grad group – meets at second floor of Caltech Y
- Aside – can we meet there? Closer than Luke’s apartment
 Two grad students were willing to mentor
 Sam has a list of 10 people who could be mentors
- Sam will send announcement about next FBM
o Nine days from now, 12-3
o Sam went over agenda
- Third FBM – Maura can make it if it’s on a Saturday
o Sam will check if Caltech Y is available Saturday or Sunday
- Should start planning blueslip milkshakes
o Sam will start a thread
- Praise and Worship night
o Weekend ten – week before graduation June 9-10
o Need point person – Richard might do it
