May 11th, 2012 Meeting Minutes
Present:
Peter B, Richard G, Sam E, Tim J


Notes:
- Tim talked about summer plans
o Not sure about small groups
o Tim should talk to people who might lead small group – Grace, Stacey, Isaac
o Tim should send email to ccf-members asking who will be here over the summer
o Tim doesn’t know if there will be enough people for a large group
o Sam: large group is nice because everyone can come to
 Can get everyone together
o Do worship in piano room
o Will Katherine be here and be able to play worship?
- Large groups
o Put all passages about trinity together
o Somewhat confusing
o Grappling with idea increases appreciation of God
o Affects how we pray
- Sam on spiritual warfare, then Peter and Jonathan
- Talked about roles going forward in CCF as pertains to FBM 2
- Sam and Skippy talked about mentorship
o Skippy worried about divisiveness
o Discussed head mentorship position for Skippy
o Could have mentor meeting occasionally
 Skippy happy to lead meetings
o Skippy wants veto power on any mentor
o Will discuss at FBM – Skippy said whole group should discuss
- Sam at FBM will talk about what mentors have done in the past
o Past mentors should speak
o Brief discussion about authority of mentors
- A few changes from Sam’s initial email to mentors on commitments
o Might add group meeting of mentors
o Might add lead mentor
 Brainstormed names for “lead” mentor
• Chief, hefe, lawgiver, supervisor, elder
• Settled on elder mentor
• In honor of Sam
- At FBM take two votes
o Ratify mentors all together
o Then ratify structure of mentorship of elder mentor
- At FBM Peter will go over all jobs that need doing in CCF
o People can group major and minor jobs as they wish and create their own positions
- Sam started email thread on blueslip milkshakes
o Should be next wednesday
