Meeting Minutes January 12

January 13th, 2012 Meeting Minutes
Present:
Richard G, Sam E, Peter B, Robb M, Amy P


Notes:
This weekend large group will be moved to Sunday
Sam will send out an email
Last week large group
Robb found it frustrating – sounds contradictory but must deal with it
Might be inherent to the topic
Richard liked it – mystery can be important
Longer format might have been too long
Split into discussion groups for change of pace
Tons of people were awesome
Large groups for the whole term are planned out
Sam leads next large group, and the next three day weekend
Praise and prayer night
Potluck over the weekend
Praise and prayer with dinner
Amy will be gone later in the term for grad school visits
March 2 will stay as the date, even if Amy can't make it :(
Retreat this term will hopefully be on campus
Cheap, but still serve the purpose of relaxation
Dig in date needs to be decided
Peter will email Skippy about dig-in date
Heavy prep version or light prep version?
Light prep would be good
Peter/those involved will talk with Skippy about this
Maybe each person could cover a passage, then have one meeting to sync up
Stepehen will raise lots of money for retreat from alums
Richard will talk to Stephen
Third term retreat is May 19
Robb will call the retreat center again to get space
Deficiency notice milkshakes are going to be on February 13
More ice cream will be bought to make more people happy
Small groups are going ok, started off first week
Will keep encouraging people to come
